Hi, I'm Maria Isabel

she/her/ella

Based in Berkeley, CA

My story begins in Guatemala, the country where I was born. At the age of six, I immigrated to the U.S with my family. Since then I have called a few places my home: Colorado, Tennessee, and California. In 2020, I graduated from Maryville College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies.

I'm a technology operations professional with seven years of experience in information systems management, CRM administration, data warehousing, and automation. I'm skilled in Salesforce, Airtable, BigQuery, SQL, Looker Studio, and web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I recently completed a full-stack coding bootcamp.

At the core of my work is a passion for using technology to drive meaningful social change and problem-solving, whether that's improving how an organization manages its data, building tools that make information more accessible, or creating systems that actually make sense to the people using them. I enjoy translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences, and I've spent most of my career doing exactly that. It's what's brought me this far, and it's what I'm looking for in this next chapter.
